Talk about having a go at something outside of your comfort zone !

First time I've ever built a biplane and the first time I've ever had a go at rigging - Let's just say that I'm pleased enough with the results to have gone out and bought a second one !

Nice stuff Mr Airfix ! :thumbsup2:

Great stuff Mike, glad to see you succeeded in finishing it, looks very nice indeed! So you've no excuse for not building a bipe for the next comp. now then!

Just wondering how it didn't run away in the first & last pics though - engine running, no bod in the cockpit & no chocks.....!! :tease::D

Ah, Benoni - home of Charlize Theron. ( Lived in Springs for three years )

Wow Mike, you deliberately went for something with rigging? Good on you mate!

Nice result.

Cheers,

Mike

Ah, Benoni - home of Charlize Theron.

Funny you should mention that Mike. I went out with a girl from Benoni once, but if memory serves me correctly, it wasn't Charlize - it was the other one !

Thanks for the positive feedback from everyone - much appreciated.

Hey Mike. Just think how things could have turned out if you ended up with the other one.

Charlize returns from a long day on set.

Mike- "Hi Charlize. How was work?"

Charlize -"All day kissing George Clooney, but I just couldn't get it right."

Mike - "My day was a bit like that. All day airbrushing jet pipes and that, but it still didn't look right."

Sorry Mike.

The Tigermoth is a little cracker.

Too funny for words Mr E !

I've even had to paint the centre of the roundels orange, 'cos I'm not allowed to use red paint anymore........ :bleh:

Neat little Tiger Mike.

A question was raised regarding the depth of the fuselage and I can sort of see where that comes from. Perhaps the single colour exacerbates it?

Setting any of that aside your model looks brilliant and this new tool is streets ahead of the older Airfix offering. Good job to you and airfix both.

Cheers.
