Fighter Command Fairey Battles?

I'm currently looking at early WW2 RAF camouflage, to examine any possible anomalies in schemes for the new Airfix Hurricane, and

was intrigued by something I found in "Fighting Colours" by MJF Bowyer.

Talking about the new fighter squadrons formed during September - December 1939, Bowyer states that there were not enough

fighter aircraft to go round! Thus some squadrons (235,253 & 266) were equipped with Fairey Battles! He also says

that these Battles wore fighter camouflage. I understand what this means, (DG/DE on top, black/white underneath) but does anyone have ( or have links to) any pictures of Battles in this camouflage? Bowyer lists squadron code letters, but no serial/individual letter

tie-ups. I've had a quick Google on this, but "passing mentions" are all I can find.

Imagine the thoughts of the unfortunate fighter pilot faced with the prospect of facing Bf109s in a Fairey Battle . . .

We'll I've not heard of this but I don't imagine it wS ever expected that they would actually go into action in Battles. Probably more like a method of acclimatising pilots to a single Merlin engined machine pending postings to Spitfire or Hurricane units.

Not heard of any in full fighter markings, but I know 602 had a couple to train pilots in operating monoplanes with retracting undercarraige before they moved onto Spitfires - interestingly, as late as January 1940 they seemed to have Type AI upper wing roundels.
