Tamiya HIACE Quick Delivery built by MotorSports Team Set

Very cool, I keep looking at this kit on the shelf of my local shop.

Also I love builds with little helpers, they add so much life.

That door frame edging.

it's probably meant to be a rubber seal.

Make the opening slightly bigger than you need.

Cut a thin strip of plastic card.

Round off one side, Glue it into the opening,

Rounded side out.

For the tight corner curves, Lightly score across

the strip and it will confrom to the frame.

Once dry you can sand the inside edge level

with the door frame.

That's perfect! Thanks! : )

great fun. they look a bit pale too me, do they work nights ?

Thanks! Yeah, they work only nights. part of me likes them as is but part of me knows I have to paint them at some point. Once they have faces, it will not be the same. now, things are pretty neutral that's because I am still chicken to paint.

First of all, I apologize to those who were following this Build. After having some warping issues and my asthma kicking in to high gear, I lost my mojo and decided to set aside all builds instead of starting a new one.

Last post was in May and since then I found it easier to watch all your builds and discussions rather than rectify my kit. I promise to contribute my share even if I have to start a new kit when I am stuck or having a long wait for parts ordered. If my asthma kicks in again then I'll find a way around it. I have till Dec. 11 till i'm off for the holidays then I'm back Mid Jan.

This is where I left off:

A little warping left after much adjustments. I didn't know that the tamiya putty would shrink as much as it did and given the section it was applied to, it bent and bowed like the letter U. This after much :bounce::cow6::elephant: on it.

Setting the pieces befor the right door frame is glued

And a little painting work done on the chasis...

The fellow sitting on the right looks shattered. (I do hope you are giving the help adequate breaks, pursuant to the labour laws....)

Such good fun and an oddball vehicle too.

Many, many years ago I used to leave my Lego men doing stuff to finish spaceships while I went to school. Lazy buggers them Lego men, good to see your guys are better motivated.

Sadly, they are running the show, not me. They work when they want to and boss me around. I am the victim here : (

Looking good i like the mods your making

Shaun

Thanks Shaun!

Glad you're back.

Thanks Phil!

Thanks! They are quite lazy at times but not more than me. : )

Welcome back.

Looking forward to more.

Thanks Pete! I'm quite slow but I am enjoying this build and can't wait to finish it so I can put a stop to finding new ways to tweek it.

Since this will take time, I decided to post simutanious builds which I am trying now to keep me moving and motivated. It is unusual since I like starting and finishing something before moving on but this make take a while. More to come....
