The dragonborn
Hi. I started this one a week ago but i was too lazy to start a thread/take pictures so here goes. Work done so far: The cockpit color is a mix of Vallejo model color 808 blue green with some 969 park green to match the PE parts.(pic looks a bit more blue than in real life ) Rest of the kit: I think i will be doing the finnish one, but the bulgarian one is temping too.... SaintsPhil
Welcome and good choice! I'm glad you said the photos made it look blue as I thought it was a bit off....the PE does look the same colour though mind!
AngstROM
What can one possibly say, except, perhaps...Luvly Jubbly! As if getting a believable MiG interior shade wasn't impossible enough, it now has to match Eduard's version!
The dragonborn
It must be my phone camera that don't like greens, because the dried green on the palette..err table is much darker than real life. Also that pre-painted printed color looks a bit too blue in the first place, I think the decal color looks better. Edit: a daylight pic(overcast tho): Still a bit blue i think. another edit: oh noes the paint is chipped under the pedals Onto something else, a Trumpeter F-13 in VPAF markings i built last year. Not a bad kit IMHO: Enjoy Edited February 18, 2014 by The dragonborn
The dragonborn
Small update: Seat done now because i am going to install it before closing up the fuselage halves. The instructions calls for installing it later, but the seat cant get in for the throttle stick.
Anthony Kesterton
This looks very nice. I like the paint match for the interior blue (or whatever it is called). I am going to try and do a similar match on my Eduard Mig. Of course, I don't have the Vallejo colours you have (in spite of buying as much as I could when Modelzone closed down) but do have AKAN Emerald Green that might be a good match... anthony

Jabba
A lot of work on that seat. I just started building mine last night (A lot of plastic), and I hope that it will fit past the throttle.
The dragonborn
Update: now i got the fuselage together: and spine: the dry fit between them were great: And then came the slightly warped wing undersides, these made the upper wings fit quite badly to the fuselage, hence the filler : thats it so far. SaintsPhil
Seems a few GBers having issues with the fit of the wings! Something to watch
Tom Cooper
Yup. Though, is this really something 'new' in regards of MiG-21-modells? I seem to recall experiencing problems with wings fit with every single MiG-21-kit I've ever built... (of course, it was different times, 'back then'). SaintsPhil
I was more surprised with this kit, as Eduard's engineering is usually spot on!
The dragonborn
Update: I got some color on her(i hopefully in the ballpark ) vallejo 924 for the green, 889 for the brown/olive and 989 for the underside: I also fitted the main gear struts: oh that deadline is getting close..... and all those stencils.....
