Heller Caravelle 1/100 - how good is it?

I've got a re-issue of the first Heller kit, the prototype Caravelle in 1/100. It's a simple and crude kit by today standards, but I find it very nice.

Do you have any idea about how accurate it is, but would like to make it as a TAP aircraft. Is there any great difference between the prototype and the VI-R operated by TAP?

TIA,

Carlos

If the Heller is a true prototype it will be shorter than the in service examples.

I don't know much about Caravelles, but the cockpit windows are bigger on the VI-R.

It had reverse thrusters...visible on the pic. The earlier versions had a parachute so I guess the tail cone is different.

Not according with Wikipedia: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sud_Aviation_Caravelle. If the kit is from 1957 it certainly depicts one of the prototypes.

I already spotted the cockpit windows. Also it needs two more windows, one near the door and the other at the back. Perhaps the door is larger than in the kit. The cone seems to be the same, but I need to look for more detailed photos.

Thanks Garry!
