Stu_davros
Next up is this beautiful little kit:Contents of the box:I started by assembling the 'hailstone', the fit was quite good, just needs some filler at the wing roots.Cheers,Stuart Edited April 9, 2014 by Stu_davros

Jockster
A little bit out of the norm, should be interesting!
Stu_davros
Finished the cockpit, just added some lapbelts from masking tape and a couple of offcuts of etched steel. the fuse and wings assembled in a few minutes. there are a few gaps to fill though. Also as with the airfix kit the fabric detail on the flying surfaces is very overstated. Cheers for now, Stuart

Stu_davros
Just a small update on the Fw190, I got bogged down a little with the overdone fabric texture, still not entirely happy with the result. I managed to do some painting of the basic colours, the grey and green have come out very dark with very little contrast between the two: The underside came out better, just a little glue smear to paint over: And the little Hagelkorn: Thanks for looking, more soon. Stu_davros
The 190 is nearly there now, the kit was let down a little by the decals being very thick, milky and brittle: A couple of coats of matt varnish helped: Landing gear attached: More soon. Stu_davros
Thanks guys. The hagelkorn is now attached along with the prop and other details, I will have to redo the paint on the canopy before that gets fitted, but that will be the last step. Back to work tomorrow so it will probably be next week it will get finished. Cheers, Stuart
