roymattblack
I never intended posting a WIP for this little 1/43 model as to be honest, I fully expected it to be a naff little 'nasty' kit. It cost £2.99 in my local hardware shop, and there are three other cars in the range - I bought them all. Surprised???? You bet. Casting of the parts, parts fit, quality - amazing. As good as any top-line kit maker. OK - It's very simple. About 30 parts in all. Mind you, it does include a tiny fret of etched brake discs. I kid you not... Many of the parts are even tampo-printed in carbon fibre, over a c/f textured surface. Even the steering wheel has a c/f rim, and a black centre! A nice set of decals completes it all. It makes me wonder why they don't make more of them in the range - and give some of the 1/43 kit companies a real kicking. If you see these little kits - buy them. BTW.... my pics don't do this little car any credit at all. Roy. Edited February 10, 2014 by roymattblack
Mafney
Looks like a very detailed kit, at a price you really cannot complain with at all. Will have to be on the lookout for these!
roymattblack
They also do a GT40, Lambo Gallardo and Shelby Mustang. Really nice for the money. Even on Ebay they are only a few quid each. Here's the Reventon and the GT40 - and they're overpriced!: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Pro-Team-1-43-Lamborghini-Reventon-Silver-Self-Assembly-Car-Model-Modelling-Kit-/400589505291?pt=UK_ToysGames_DiecastVehicles_DiecastVehicles_JN&hash=item5d44fec30b http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Pro-Team-1-43-Ford-GT-Yellow-Self-Assembly-Car-Model-Modelling-Kit-Xmas-Gift/121195749508?rt=nc Roy. shood23
I have seen these all over the place but even though they are cheap I always overlook them for some reason, quick question are you going to fiddle with the colour or leave it as it is
roymattblack
I have painted the body. The colour is out of a Halfords spray can - Audi Stratos (I think) topped with a 2K clear. The kit is a metallic grey, but very 'streaky' - I would have painted it anyway though, even if the plastic colour was good. I don't like unpainted plastic. I'm going to add a few black and BMF details as well. Roy. Edited February 10, 2014 by roymattblack

roymattblack
Oops my apologies No probs - easy mistake as the kit plastic is virtually the same. Roy.
