Speedman
Build 6 I've been waiting to get my hands on one of these for a few weeks, I picked one up in Antics today and started building just gone 7pm. The real tank was a bit of a beast, having 5 turrets and 11 crew! I'll post a comparison photo with my KV-1 & KV-2 tanks tomorrow. Price: £2.99 Antics. Box and sprue shots... Although there are photos of the T-35 without the radio aerial around the turret, I thought it looked a bit plain and decided to scratch build one. It's just copper wire as the supports and jewellery wire as the aerial. All parts cleaned up, and I've added shackles and the protruding ring around the co-axial gun. Just about to pop off and give it a wash so it's thoroughly dry before I prime it along with the KV-1 & KV-2 tomorrow. snapper_city
Never seen one of these before. The radio aerial looks the business.
Speedman
The radio aerial looks the business. Cheers. I won't tell you how many times I glued myself to it... I primed it today, after drilling out barrels and periscopes, along with the KV-1 & KV-2 I'm building. I was keen to get the T-35 built last night so I can paint them all together, seems silly not to seeing how they're all going to be the same colour. (One of them might get a winter scheme, not decided yet.) Here's a couple of size comparison shots with the KV tanks.
Jockster
I never realised that it was so much bigger than the KVs, daft really, it has to be big due all the turrets but I just imagined it to be about the size of a 'Stuart'! That second last pic of head on 3 abreast looks as though it could have come from a Dragon box. Three nice looking tanks there.
Speedman
I never realised that it was so much bigger than the KVs I was really surprised when I pulled the sprues out of the box, I thought it would be roughly the same size as a KV. After pre-shading I sprayed a few thin coats of a custom green mix followed by some post shading. After that I gave it a few coats of Humbrol Clear. I should be able to get some washes done tomorrow. hgbn
Looking great.... You can say what you want, No doubt the Soviets had the best Tanks in WWII. Not this particular one. The size of this one and the T-28 have always impressed me.

Speedman
Finished! More photos in the gallery. Zvezda have done a great job with the moulded on detail in this scale. It may be a massive tank in real life, but it's tiny in this scale...
