Jb65rams
Finished the ladder. tried to represent the wood using Burnt Umber oil paint brushed over a base of Humbrol Desert Yellow. I am pleased with the result, just takes a long time to dry. The fireman are also ready to report for duty. Putting all the bits together I get I've thoroughly enjoyed this build, made a great change from my usual aircraft.
Kallisti
Very good looking wood finish, Pugh, Pugh, Barney and Cuthbert look the business, just need to build an EdwardianTrumpton Fire station to place them in! These obviously are the grandfathers of our favourite firemen...

John_W
One teensy weensy suggestion, a bit of matt on the clothes. Awesome build though, the wood effect is incredible.
Natter
That really has turned out well. All your perseverance with the brittle plastic has yielded a fabulous model, congratulations.
snapper_city
That is looking superb. As the others have said it is amazing how these old kits can scrub up.
Bengalensis
This came out really well, it's looking great! Good work on the wooden ladders. It's nice to see these old kits being built today and showing that good results are very much possible. I remember my father building this kit when it was quite newly released. He spent much time making the ladders working, and actually succeeded.

Jb65rams
Thanks for your kind comments. I will give the figures another coat of matt sometime and retake the photos. Will also use my proper flashgun as opposed to the built in flash.
