Airfix 1/32 1914 Dennis Fire Engine - FINISHED

Recommended Posts

Finished the ladder. tried to represent the wood using Burnt Umber oil paint brushed over a base of Humbrol Desert Yellow. I am pleased with the result, just takes a long time to dry.

The fireman are also ready to report for duty.

Putting all the bits together I get

I've thoroughly enjoyed this build, made a great change from my usual aircraft.

Very good looking wood finish, Pugh, Pugh, Barney and Cuthbert look the business, just need to build an EdwardianTrumpton Fire station to place them in! These obviously are the grandfathers of our favourite firemen...

This came out really well, it's looking great! Good work on the wooden ladders. It's nice to see these old kits being built today and showing that good results are very much possible. :thumbsup2:

I remember my father building this kit when it was quite newly released. He spent much time making the ladders working, and actually succeeded.
