Ooh. Oooooohhhh. (Though it is, of course, one of the ugliest things ever to get daylight under the wheels.)

Agreed but another little jigsaw piece in the late '40's-early '50's aircraft collection!

Beauty is in the eye of the beholder i suppose but I can see Special Hobby getting even more of my money. My 'No more kits' Resolution may last two months!!!

the Guardian in 48th scale injection molded????good news! I hope them to get it right cos it's a difficult shape to mold! i think at Special Hobby they need a lot of documentation data for it! Very interesting airplane though!! :thumbsup2:

The profiles.

I am happy to show here the side profiles of the camouflages which will be in our SH48135 AF-2S and SH48148 AF-2W Guardian kits and hope to please all those who eagerly await these models. Because of size each model contains only two camouflage options. Sadly, these models will not be available in September as our pressing shop is busy with injecting one of our models for a big foreign company. A.R.

Special Hobby SH48135 / SH48158 AF-2 Guardian 1/48 - armament and clear parts

Every right anti-sub aircraft must carry armament to be able to fight against submarines.

We did not forget about it when preparing our SH48135 / SH48158 AF-2 Guardian models. It will contain various under-wing armament as well as the underslung searchlight. The clear parts of the searchlight, canopy, fuselage windows and navigation, formation and signal lights are presented here already injected and we also show the other armament parts in form of 3D design renders.

More sprues pics.

SH48135 and SH48158 AF-2 Guardian in 1/48 – testshots of the small parts frames

Photos of two testshots of SH48135 AF-2S Guardian “Submarine Killer” and SH48158 AF-2W Guardian “Submarine Hunter” 1/48 models.

The first one, that still needs some refinement however, contains part for the underwing armament and equipment of the Guardian and there will be two of them in each model. The second frame brings mainly the undercarriage parts of which especially the wheels are notable. On the sides of this frame there are also two extra parts, on the left the bomb bay doors for the AF-2S version, on the right it is a part for the forthcoming fire fighting version of the Guardian.
