Homebee Posted January 29, 2014 Posted January 29, 2014 (edited) Source: http://www.silverwings.pl/132-stearman-buy-now.html After a busy 2013, Silver Wings is proud to announce our first all new kit for 2014. The classic Boeing Model 75 "Stearman" in 1/32 scale! Many of our friends and customers have told us they have been waiting a long time for a model of this iconic training aircraft. We hope that you will be excited as we are to welcome the Stearman to our line of high-quality 1/32 resin kits. The Boeing Model 75 Stearman was used as a military trainer aircraft in the 1930's and 1940's. Widely known as the Stearman, Boeing Stearman or Kaydet, it served as a primary trainer for the USAAF, the USN (as the NS & N2S), and with the RCAF as the Kaydet throughout World War II, with at least 8,584 aircraft built. After the conflict was over, thousands of surplus aircraft were sold on the civilian market. In the immediate postwar years they became popular as crop dusters, sports planes, and for aerobatic and wing walking use in air shows. We are pleased to offer this exciting new kit in two colorful options, with decals for both US Army Air Corps and US Navy markings. Projected availability date 14th February, 2014 Please visit our website, www.silverwings.pl for additional information on this kit and contact us about the price incl. shipping. colin ritchie Posted September 8, 2014 Posted September 8, 2014 (edited) I wish 1) I could afford this , 2) had the skill to build it the way it deserves to be built, oh and 3) Put a cowling on the engine , and you could build Stephen Coonts's PT , "The Cannibal Queen" http://www.coonts.com/books/others/the-cannibal-queen Edited September 8, 2014 by colin ritchie
Silver Wings Posted September 8, 2014 Posted September 8, 2014 Colin, 1) I don't know what is the price you can afford. We offer various discounts, just write us at [email protected] 2) Have you read the build guide yet? Does it look hard to build ? 3)
colin ritchie Posted September 9, 2014 Posted September 9, 2014 At the moment , the purchase of more than a single tin of paint exceeds my modelling budget, and I know my modelling skills , and they as in no way equal to the quality of your kit!.... I wish things were different but thre you are life as it is , not as we'd like it to be!
Silver Wings Posted September 9, 2014 Posted September 9, 2014 Colin, sad to hear that. Let me know if anything changes. Simon
Silver Wings Posted February 4, 2015 Posted February 4, 2015 Not too many photos but definitely worth presenting Yet another 1/32 Stearman has been built. This time by Joe from USA. Thanks Joe !
