Well, those opaque ID stripes were bugging me, so I had to paint over them. I used Vallejo's Off White.

The word you were looking for there is 'transluscent'. After the painting they became opaque; the weren't before.

The Hobby Boss kit looks like a fun little 'throw it together in a weekend and who cares?' build :)

Nice. Those little Hobbyboss kits have some nice surface detail, and the decals seem to come out ok (white lines excluded). The weathering is spot on, for me.

Both look great,colours spot on!might have to have a go at one of these as I see they do a British version with the malcom hood and d-day ID bands.

Excellent painting and weathering! You can't tell that they're Hobbyboss quick-build kits at all!

I'm a fan of these kits, apart from their early efforts (Spitfires, notably, with their funky canopies and propellers), the recent releases have been very nice, easy to build and a good level of detail.
