alexwils
I'm very close to finishing my 1:32 Trumpeter Wildcat and just dry fitting the canopy I found that it doesn't fit very well when it's shown in the open position. It's fine closed but I've put a lot of effort into the cockpit and want to show it off! Any tips to make it fit? There doesn't seem to be a 3rd party vacform alternative and I really don't fancy making my own.
JasonC
If all it needs is a little more width, some hot water and gentle pressure might do the trick. J.
alexwils
I'll give that a go, it's quite thin so it might work
gingerbob
If it isn't too late, a little bit of sanding of the spine might help, too- not enough that you can see it's been "cheated". Be very careful with forcefulness- clear styrene tends to be pretty brittle. bob Edited January 23, 2014 by gingerbob
Don McIntyre
Have you tried the "dipping in Future" trick? That can do wonders for the visibility through a canopy.
