mekon
The A-9 scheme looks really neat, really like the underwing variations on the 190 as well. Nowotny's A-5 will make a great contrast.
Parabat
Cheers guys, the pictures are not the greatest and I hope to get more done on these today, hopefully more to show and better pics.
Parabat
Fuselage bands on the A-9 freshly unmasked. Just a little micromesh needed to get rid of the 'lip'. Well worth the effort though!

Parabat
Getting there... This has turned into an epic. In short, I've stopped using Xtracolour and switched to a combination of WEM and Humbrol. Nowotny's A-5 The JG301 A-9

DannyB
This is coming along nicely mate. Good job on the airbrush too, I know people knock the Chinese copies but at least when they break they're an easy/cheap fix! Though you haven't got long to get it finished ready for the 29th

Parabat
Thanks, this is proving to be a comedy of errors, these should have been finished ages ago. Still, some good lessons learned, as I have a few more of these Hasegawa Wurgers.
Alpha Delta 210
That's a great looking pair. What do you think of the WEM paints?
Parabat
Thanks AD, the WEM enamels are great for me. I like the matt finish and density, they thin well with my proprietary enamel thinners, so I've ordered the full wack of RLM enamels from WEM. Mozzy19
Thanks, this is proving to be a comedy of errors That sounds uncomfortably familiar... Still, they're looking nice with paint on.
Parabat
Cheers. Yeah, it's funny how something that should be dead straightforward turns into a Rubiks Cube at the drop of a hat!
Parabat
Though they look great, the spirals on the spinners are a challenge to get right!

Parabat
First coat of gloss on. These are not turning out as I'd hoped, but they will be good for the learning process.

Parabat
Cheers, these have been a trial at times, but it'll be good to have these two good lookers on the shelf.

Parabat
Decals are on - I deliberately did not put all the stencils on as the JG54 A-5 would have had most oversprayed and tge late war A-9 would not have had all applied. The decals have been blitzed with tge MicroSol/Set which is invaluable.
