dr_gn
Guys, I've just applied some markings to a WW2 aircraft that will be very lightly weathered, but the whites on the roundels etc. are a bit too clean and white. What's the safest, most effective way of knocking the brightness down a tad? I thought of a mist coat of Tamiya Smoke, but are there any other options? Thanks very much in advance. colin
I have used Tamiya smoke very well thinned to airbrush over white decals to tone them down, make sure it's well thinned and do it gradualley so you don't over do it Another way I have used is a filter colour over all of the upper camo to blend it together, this also tones down the decals nicely

It worked really well (at least I think it did!).
