Tango 1
Hello all! Here is what I put togther and painted this year, hope you enjoy them! First up was this Hasegawa 1/48 Sea Hurricane. Lovely kit, very enjoyable and one I was very happy with once I was finished!
Tango 1
The second build of 2013 was this 1/32 Dragon Early production P-51D Mustang. Or known by it's other name........the worst POS kit in the world!!! You may be able to guess that I did not like it very much!! Anyway, after lots of trials and tribulations............I got it finished. Here's how it turned out: Edited January 10, 2014 by Tango 1
Tango 1
Third project of the year was something a little different.............................My son and I are big Star Wars fans and I fancied having a go at making a dio of a lightsabre duel. After finding some nice figures, they were repainted and a base was made. A very fun project! Edited January 10, 2014 by Tango 1
Tango 1
Number 4 this year was...................1/72 Italeri Dakota in RAF BBMF markings. I was inspired to build the model after the real aircraft flew over my house last summer! Edited January 10, 2014 by Tango
Tango 1
Last but not least for 2013 was this highly enjoyable Airfix 1/48 Spitfire PR XIX. This was great fun to work on! After my last build, I decided to make this Spitfire as a BBMF Sqn member in D Day marking's. So there goes another year's output from my bench. Hope you enjoyed the show! All the best, Darren.

tonyot
Some really nice models there,........my favourite is the Sea Hurricane, although the real aircraft didn`t actually have a hook fitted and never set wheels on an aircraft carrier! It was a fighter trainer based at Yeovilton and was basically a Hurricane Mk.I which may have had a few naval additions like the radio. My lad loved your Star Wars battle! Cheers Tony

You know your stufff! The Sea Hurricane was a gift from a good mate and although it is not accurate, I wanted it "hooked" in those markings. A mad idea I know-but it was fun! I am hoping to get my hands on the Italeri Sea Hurricane sometime in the future. I'm glad your lad liked the Star Wars dio-it was great fun to build something "cool" for my son. It's certainly one of his favourites!
