I saw these links posted on a thread about new plastic ship releases on the Ship Model Forum. They show the pages of new items in the 2014/2015 Trumpeter, Hobby Boss and Merit/MRD catalogues:

Some interesting stuff for everybody I think, if it's done well:

Trumpeter

http://tieba.baidu.com/p/2804557302

I listed it, but put it on the same line as the 1/18 Fw190. It really does deserve its own line in my post.

Oh...ok ...i thought it did !!!

..as that is one big bird and to me a major kit for this year ...

I love harries in any form ..and for me that the most exciting kit for the year ...way out guns the airfix typhoon ....

That has the potential to be awesome! Never heard of that manufacturer before, anyone know their pedigree? I sort of assumed from the scale that I'd be RC rather than a typical kit...

DH Hornets - nice.

But again no Tu-22 Blinder :-( Somehow I keep hopeing for years they might continue their 1-72 Russian Bombers. The ESCI kit could do with a decent replacement.

A 1-16 Harrier??? OMG. Sounds like an outside display ;-)

Sea hornet & Whirlwind for trumpeter are 100% purchased already

Ka-27 Helix, been wanting one of these for a while, as I think the 1/72 is a little too small for my collection

on the edge with the SA365N in 1/35, will pass judgement when I see the price.

Dragonfly will be interesting to see

They seem to design and co-operate on all the big stuff for Trumpeter. They have a selection of 1:18 scale aircraft which started off as pre-builts and are now being released as kits. I've just bought their 1:35 Diamond T tank transporter also being released by HobbyBoss, and their address is in California.

Thanks, by the time I can A) afford it and B) have room for it I'm sure it'll have been reviewed and no doubt pulled to pieces!!

8155912397dda144a5d68fd5b0b7d0a20df48678

Agreed!! The SU-9 & SU-11 ALMOST make up for it thought. They also forgot the Yak 25/Yak 28 series as well :weep: . The TU-22 has to be one of the best looking aircraft EVER - despite its problems. Here's one I made earlier. The old ESCI kit is still worth a go- especially as it's the only game in town!

Nice one Allan. I got the Revell boxing really cheap and a correction set as well (longer fuselage, wheels, tailplains and ejection seats) but there are still lots of problems - like the engine shape. Anyhow - someday I will build this.

Good grief. An Su-33 and an Su-33UB, in 1/72 scale :Tasty:.

Could not have imagined a mainstream injection manufacturer to have even thought about doing an Su-33UB/KUB/whatever. Maybe the Chinese Navy will be acquiring/manufacturing their own?

I do hope that Trumpeter produces both of these kits within the next two years, especially the twin seater as the thought of doing a 'cut and shut' job on the Italeri Su-33 and Su-34 kits...
