617 Sqn Vulcans - identification help please

Recommended Posts

I have found a couple of photos of 617 Sqn Vulcans lined up at Scampton with some Victors.

The one at the end of the line appears to be XL319 and the third appears to be XL321.

Have I got this right? Can anyone confirm please, and also help with the identity of the other Vulcans in the line up?

The second aircraft in the line up lacks the probe (refuelling?) on the nose - any serial no. for this one?

Thank you

Thanks Chadders.

I think that is the first one in the line up, but not sure.

The second aircraft lacks the squadron badge on the fuselage, but has the triple lightening strike marking on the tail (?) so maybe a recent acquisition?

Thanks Bill

Yes, I noticed that. I managed to look over the instructions from the older Airfix kit.

312 also seems to have a rank pennant, so perhaps the CO's plane?
