''I don't remember being nervous as much as having butterflies in my stomach waiting to go into action. Once in the air, that changed to a feeling of exhilaration as we sought out the enemy.''

done that Trevor, thanks all seems to be coming together, Ali (ex-A2zee) if you had not placed me as such..............................

Big fan! I'm excited to see what you'll build if this goes through.

"They resigned to hope their unknown chance of happiness; but in the face of death they resolved to rely upon themselves alone. And when the moment came they were minded to resist and suffer, rather than to fly and save their lives; they ran away from the word of dishonor, but on the battlefield their feet stood fast, and in an instant, at the height of their fortune, they passed away from the scene, not of their fear, but of their glory."

If someone can hep with the scale and the flags I may be a able to do some spray masks (my new thing since buying a vinyl cutter) I was supprised to fond that I could cut a perfect roundel for the fuselage in 1/72. If the build is 1/48 a few squares and triangles should not be that difficult

Sean, would you be able and willing to cut a letter mask, or two for my 1/24th Hurricane?

Story; I got the Montex masks for it but they appear to have given it the wrong individual code letter. I need a question mark [ ? ] as the code letter [probably without the bottom dot]

I am of course willing to pay you for it. Its beyond me to cut a mask neatly.

Fred,

Happy two. I have just moved so we are in a bit of a mess. If its for the group build the we have time. I should be up and running shortly. if you can send me a scan or something to go on then that would be great. Other than the Roundels. I have no idea what dimensions letters are and I am using decals as a cheat sheet. I can do a couple so you can test sets.

What I'm wondering is this?

Does a started(but stalled) revell 1:32 he 111p qualify for this.

The only problem might be the 25% rule. The interior is painted, but not weathered, and the engines are stuck together with no paint on them yet.

Do I qualify with this one?

If not, there's entry of other things around, I'll just build one of them...

Drake he's in his hammock till the great Armadas come,
(Capten, art tha sleepin' there below?),
Slung atween the round shot, listenin' for the drum,
An' dreamin' arl the time o' Plymouth Hoe.
Call him on the deep sea, call him up the Sound,
Call him when ye sail to meet the foe;
Where the old trade's plyin' an' the old flag flyin',
They shall find him, ware an' wakin', as they found him long ago.

I'd have to see what my fellow co-hosts think. I'm not very familiar with the kit in question, so I'm not able to say off the cuff if that seems like 25% or less completion or not.

Wow... I must be important... I'm listed twice :P

In another note... Is this the biggest GB ever? If not... What is?

K

Ack!

I believe Under a Tenner was the largest so far.

"Athenians: [...]This is no fair fight, with honour on one side and shame

on the other. It is rather a question of saving your lives and not resisting those who are far too strong

for you.

"Melians: Yet we know that in war fortune sometimes makes the odds more level than could be

expected from the difference in numbers of the two sides. And if we surrender, then all our hope is

lost at once, whereas, so long as we remain in action, there is still a hope that we may yet stand

upright."
