Speedman
I bought this on eBay a while ago, unfortunately one of the main gear legs was broken and the lower part of it was missing and the nose wheel leg was also AWOL. So I'm going to build this one in flight which means I'm going to have to make some pilots Should be interesting. Czechoslovakia operated nine S-92 fighters and three CS-92 fighter trainers, these equipped the 5th Fighter Flight 1948 - 1951. Jessica
So I'm going to build this one in flight which means I'm going to have to make some pilots Should be interesting. You could always put it on a stick and claim it's a gate guardian.
Speedman
Nice idea, I might use it as a fall back plan if my pilots don't turn out well. the engines are now fitted, they need a little bit of filling at the rear join but other than that are a great fit. kwaterous
Looks good. What paint are you using for the interior? It looks like it has a funny texture to in the photos
Speedman
It's Revell's Blaugrau acrylic, the flash on my tablet makes it look grainy but it is smooth to the eye.
Col.
For some reason I've always prefered the Czechslovakian scheme on this machine but was unaware they operated a two-seat version.
Speedman
Neither did I until I got this kit, you can build it single or two seat so I did some research and decided to do the trainer. Finding out they only had three of them may explain why their existence it's not well known.
Speedman
The fitting, filling and sanding of the main gear doors is done at last and they are now ready for scribing. Eduard never intended this kit to be wheels up so there was a lot of cutting and reshaping needed. Edited January 12, 2014 by Speedman
Speedman
The cockpit is painted, I had to add the control columns as none are supplied by Eduard. I've started on my pilots as well, made from tiny glass beads and jewellery wire.
Max Headroom
That's a cracking little cockpit in that scale. Looking forward to the finished article! Trevor
Deacon
Nice work mate and an unusual build.
Speedman
Cheers! The pilots are finished and strapped into their cockpit which is now glued inside the assembled fuselage. I added a little flesh to their bones (wire ) with repeated applications of Mr. Surfacer. Because the cockpit is so shallow I couldn't proportion their legs properly and to be honest you can hardly see anything in the cockpit anyway. Speedman
The wings and rudder are on, some Mr. Surfacer was applied and a fair bit of sanding followed...

Speedman
Ok, things have happened very fast. Primed, 2 coats of paint, 3 coats of Clear, panel lines marked with a Pitt pen and an oil wash... All in 24 hours. It's the Jack Bauer model making show! Jabba
Good grief, my eyes hurt after just looking at the pictures, let alone looking at the parts for real. Again well done.
Speedman
The final satin coat is on. Just a touch up of the canopy frame and the navigation lights left to do. The stand is from a F-Toys Ki-27 Nate, the plane just sits on top so no holes need to be drilled to fit it.
