Jessica
I think that it's the distinction between papier maché and papier machete..
AnonymousDFB1
Ah, thanks Jessica, it's the spelling. I'm a bit dyslexic and rely on a spell checker which of course doesn't understand French. Some words even when they are wrong, just look right to me. John_W
I'm a dyslexic insomniac agnostic. I lie awake at night wondering if there is a Dog. Nice build by the way. About 32 years ago (!) I spent the summer at Detmold during the British Forces Gliding Championships. Got to help out ground crewing on some real classics.
AnonymousDFB1
A little update on mine, I awaiting the PE for the USA, there has been a little bit of dispute of the postage but this is now sorted. I need to get some PVA glue for the base so I can continue with that, so things are on hold pending materials at the moment.
gingerbob
Something I'd love to see is figures to put in these gliders! I know that wouldn't help your build, Mish (unless you were one of the subjects), but wouldn't it be great to have "properly" dressed civilian glider pilots, complete with bucket hat (whatever they're properly called)? bob
AnonymousDFB1
Been looking everywhere for some Bob, best I can come up with is some Railway I gauge figures, that I might be able to do something with.

AnonymousDFB1
My photo-etch turned up from USA today, so restarted the K-21 by folding up one of the air-brake wing boxes.
Deacon
As Mike said the unusual shape of the base adds to the build. Nice job so far Mish.
AnonymousDFB1
Worked on the air brakes today, got the second box fitted and the brakes themselves built and assembled. Some tricky bending and gluing.
stringbag
Very neat and tidy Mish. I may be tempted to have a go at one of these myself. Chris.

Hotel Papa
Woohooo! Another glider trainer. Being relatively new to the sport this was also the type I got my training on and the mount for my first solo. The hobby still absorbs most of my weekends in summer. I have the kit in the stash somewhere. Want to give this one more attention that I can muster right now, so it'l be a BlanÃk from me ;-) Mmmmh... I do miss some blue in that pit there.. good brushwork anyway. Edited February 5, 2014 by Hotel Papa

Hotel Papa
Yep, an L-13. Hereabouts it's called the Blechnik, a play on words based on German "Blech", sheet metal. Edited February 6, 2014 by Hotel Papa
