Sea King Single Type Group Build

Recommended Posts

Hello.
I participate in the GB and will be building model Sea King HAS.6 from Revell.
Also apply Eduard photoetched 73258 (out of this set to use only some of the elements of interior and exterior).

For those interested - I added two GB banners here: http://www.britmodeller.com/forums/index.php?/topic/53600-group-build-banners/page-5(the last post on this page). Maybe I will do another one with a Sea King heli later - but this way the banner somewhat work for any type of Sea King.

I'll hopefully manage to build a few of these:

Kits.jpg

Current plan is an RAF HAR.3/3A, a FAA HAR.5, a USN SH-3H (SAR), a RAN Mk.50, and possibly a BAF Mk.48.

Might be a trifle over-ambitious, especially as Feb/Mar are the busiest months of the year at work....

But using production-line methods, I can at least start the five listed (or maybe more!), and cut back to two or three if necessary....

No wonder I can't find a kit to join in !!!

I might be up for this, I have the Hasegawa 1/48 HAR Mk. 3 with the scarily yellow plastic. Let me see how January goes first :)

Hgbn, (and other people)

I've sent off for my build, I may be a little late starting it, but that's life.

It'll be:

1x airfix Westland sea king

1x mpc sirkosky sea king

The Westland will be oob (or as close to it as I can force myself), but I'm debating ordering a pe set for the sirkosky version

The decals have now arrived and the kit is waiting for the start date. I have decided to do an early fresh from the factory Mk4 and maybe a fresh from the factory Mk3

I was working in the erecting shop and flight shed at WHL when they were being built as a progress chaser.

OK, having found my Sea King in the garage I think I'm in with this. Hopefully I can build a reasonably accurate HAR Mk.3 with the Hasegawa kit (yellow version) and some Eduard etch for the cockpit.

Cheers,

Will

Me to. Hope I can make the workbench 100% free of non Sea King plastic parts by then too. Maybe a little optimistic but I'll have a go for it.
