newpiggypod1
I suspect that i have been bought an Italeri v-22 Osprey 1/72 for christmas, as i live not far from Mildenhall i would like to produce a model of aircraft based there. However i belive the Italeri to be a prototype model that needs updating and modifying, would anyone know how to do this, thanks, Phil
ghaynes
The Italeri kit is 1/48. I bought the kit last week after seeing Tony's build here. Regards. Graham
spike7451
IIRC the one I had had a canopy that was so smoked it was black!
ghaynes
IIRC the one I had had a canopy that was so smoked it was black! That's interesting Spike. I was expecting the one in my kit to be smoked but it was clear. I would have preferred a tinted one but should be easy to do when I eventually start builing it. Regards. Nigel Bunker
I modified a 72 scale Italeri V-22. I dropped the flaps (they appear to be droppes whenever the engines point upwards), modified the engines (quite a lot of work there - look at some pictures), added the various lumps & bumps around the fuselage (including IFR probe), put vortex generators on the wing and moved the main undercarriace rearwards, modifying the UC doors as well. Plenty of pictures on the net to help you.
