And don't forget the future Red Arrows gift set combining the new Gnat with the old Hawk in the same scale.

Makes more sense in 48, it was a bit over-engineered in 1/72. I bought 2, built 1 and sold the other.

I may get one depending on the markings in the trainer boxing-Silver and yellow or the red and white schemes please Airfix, please no day-glo orange again

Wings tanks on an Arrows Gnat? Only in private hands.

No, we flew a few shows with the Slipper Tanks fitted in my time on the Team.

If we flew long distance - (fitting the Tanks gave us an extra 120 gallons of fuel), and had to do a 'Show on Arrival', we would just do it.

From the Flight Reference Cards of the Display Team Gnat A/C, there is no difference in the forward C of G with Slipper Tanks full or empty.

Regards, Brian

The Gnat has always been a favorite, such a beautiful little beast. It would look good painted any colour and as well as having attractive schemes has great whiff potential too.

I would love to model the Gnats from Hot Shots, Love that film reminds me of my childhood and making kits in the 90s. I made many of the old Gnats back then.
