At least the canopy appears to fit on these. They aren't at the top of my wish list but nice none the less.

Lush!!!!

Looking forward to the inevitable black night-fighter scheme on the IVF-look at the radar aerials!

Luckily, Himbrol have also announced a trainer yellow rattle can too ;)

Even Better for me!!! Also very handy for the Trainer aircraft GB!!! If the paint is not too long in coming.

Superb, I'm really looking forward to these. Alongside the Swift, these are the pick of next years' releases for me.

Modelling WW2 Finnish bombers in 72nd scale came remarkably easier today, thanks to Mr. Airfix. Both BL- types and the DN are on the way, a very good JK we already have by ROG. V-P

DominkS: Sorry, but the Mk.IF had a different gunpack, shallower with blast protection under the forward fuselage. If you look for the thread about Malayan campaign aircraft, there are some beautifully clear LIFE photographs showing this well. Nice simple plate shapes, so not too difficult to scratch build, but not a simple kit swap.

Ayup All...

These are the best pair of all the new releases. Can't wait to see the MKIV especially.

I'm looking forward to these! :bounce:

Not exactly The Bristol Aircraft I was hoping for... ;) but very welcome indeed nonetheless.

You and me also!

If Airfix are going to be perverse, we'll get a Beaufort next (wouldn't mind that either)

I think SpecSavers can help with that..............................[joking]

Two nice newbies for me to buy next year.

Next year's New Years Resolution #1; not to buy too many more kits; has already been broken in thought if not yet deed.

Open bomb bays, dropped flaps, gun pack,.........gosh we are being spoilt,..., I wonder if the IV will have optional canopy sections with the bulged and unbulged side windows and optional single Vickers or twin browning turret guns? That would certainly seal the deal for me,.......... it is just a shame that they have not announced a Beaufighter too! The Lightning F.6 was forgotten about at first,.....so what about the Beau?

Cheers

2015... :D

In the meantime, I have to build the Blenheim illustrated in your book.

My pair will wear green, black and light blue. Maybe partially white, too? I never thought I'd get this excited about Blenheims! V-P

Might hold out for a 1F, but very pleasing nonetheless...

Also clears up a small puzzlement for me, which is, why, wgen they obviously had a serviceable Blenheim IV tool available, did they not release it as a single? Now I know!

This is great news. The Mk.IV cockpit looks much better in profile on the new one and I like the 1 piece moulding, fitting the bomb aimer parts on the old kit was a PITA.

With these new kits rolling off the Airfix production line, I feel 8 years old again !!!

Chuffed to bits here. Plenty of trade heading Airfix's way next year from me but these are the star turn.
