Revell 1:100 Apollo: Lunar Module "Eagle" (04832)

Buying some paints / glues etc in my model shop I spied the Revell 1:100 Apollo: Lunar Module "Eagle" sitting on the shelf for £4.99

To good a bargain to miss, as I fancied a nice easy build.

Work so far:

Dry fitting the crew module / lander:

Lander glued together, gaps filled, ready for covering in aluminum foil (which I'll spray tamiya clear yellow to give gold foil effect):

Decided to add windows to the crew module, using clear plastic from a sprue bag, interior shot. Glued using pva glue. Wedged some make up foam pads into the interior to hold the windows in place while the glue dried.

Crew module so far. Needs glue together, windows masked then primed, before painting with gloss black followed by alclad polished aluminium:

A fun wee build so far!

This looks like the Lunar module part from the old Columbia and Eagle set from back in the day, which was labelled as 1:96.
