dadgaddad
1/72 Hobby Boss Mig 15 PLAAF markings Built OOB with tape harness and Eduard instrument panel decal.. Brush painted using Humbrol acrylic silver and Revell gloss red enamel. Washed with GW Nuln Oil and finished with Humbrol Matt Cote. A simple kit which was fun to build and went together easily, in total contrast to the Sea Fury. Thanks to Col for sending the IP decal. dadgaddad
1/72 Special Hobby Sea Fury WJ232 802 SQN Built OOB but with Aeroclub metal under carriage. Airbrushed in Humbrol EDSG over Sky. Cockpit and stripes brush painted using GW and Humbrol acrylics. GW Nuln Oil wash and Humbrol Clear final coat. Nothing about this kit was easy. The wings needed hours of scraping before the edges would meet. The fuselage needed filling and rescribing. The decals fell apart and I had to buy new ones. Several times I wished I hadn't started it yet found myself thinking how I could make the next one better just as often. In the end, though, I was happy with the result. Procopius
Talk about a diference in kit complexity! You've made both look good.
Col.
Good job on both and they do make an interesting pair together. Illustrates the move from the ultimate development of the piston engine to the beginings of the jet age.
Beard
They're both really smart. I wish I could brush-paint that well.
