I will put grass on this and then or before rather some green felt on the bottom. This will be the dio base that my Mate Zed made for me. Cheers Rob Cheers Guys more soon. Glad your all enjoying I am now. Its exciting. Now I have to mix soicialisation and modeling in the same sitting as its christmas eve and people are coming over. I could be up late to see santa and the reindeer flying by.. That would make a cool cover of fly past..

robvulcan
Hi all thanks very much. Yes shes nearly there now. Wheels setting and awaiting varnish stage. The decals are not exactly the best they break easy and the small ones silvered or did not perform and were lost so I have had to omit many of those.. But it looks pretty nice if I do say so myself.. I will post photos soon Cheers Rob

robvulcan
SHE IS DONE !!!!! MERRY CHRISMAS ALL. Well apart from adding the mirror, forgot that. The aerial cockpit prop panels and exhausts are removable currently loose fit or blue taked. She has had a matt varnish from a humbrol rattle can then a chalk weather for the cannons panel lines and then more varnish. No wash on this one I wanted her to look new and fresh and as if she had just shot a few down perhaps. also the surface detail is nice and fine and does not beg for accentuation. I am just finishing the base off then to bed... Here she is. Thanks so much for all the help and support from you all. In particular Pip Moss for the decals, Mal of miracle masks for the codes, and Spitfire for tips and help. Cheers and Merry Christmas Rob Back to building Vulcans now then and the KUTA ..... Oh and more spitfires.. I actually cant wait to get my tamiya vb and airfix xix together.... Night or Morning Rather. Rob

Dave Gibson
A great job Rob. A lesser man would have put the model to one side, to be finished on Boxing Day . . . and we all know what happens then. It's really nice, gently weathered and not looking like a quilt which I greatly approve of. Dave
