Hi

Had this in the stash for years and decided to build it alongside the Amodel An-71. Only problem areas were the engine panels not fitting and the kits decals representing an early short fuselage An-72. Home made decals for the registration numbers and Russian flag and large bulged window added to the left hand side. Not sure who the real aircraft is operated by as no titles are carried.

Thanks.

Nice model of a difficult kit - especially those engine nacelles.

An internet search on 'RA-74003' reveals it was operated by 'Yakutia' at one time........

I'm still having nightmares about "those engine nacelles" .........

Have you seen a decent photo anywhere of the logo on the tail? The photos I found it didn't have that.

Great finish - Looks like the aircraft "Ozone" danced on and in for that musical hit "Numa Numa" in 2005?

Engine nacelles are unique to this one.

Cheers,

Mike

Fantastic! Something totally different and I have no idea who "Ozone" are nor do I have any knowledge of "Numa Numa" but if they like Antonov An-74s, then they are ok with me!

Nice one Steve, frequently been tempted to do one of these. It looks great :)

Hi Mike. Thanks for that, it is a very nice kit. Just do it with the engine covers open...... What you working on at the moment?

Unusual looking (typically Russian though!) Fantastic :-)

Very unusual, but I think inspired by the YC-14

Thanks. I just had to google that and didn't find anything like an An-74......

Really enjoyed building it and certainly does look different, just the engines that take the edge of it for me.

I dig it, thanks for sharing.

Cheers.

Have a look at this month's Airfix Modelling World and you can see the American copy, or was it the other way round??

This isn't the one in the magazine, but you'll see what I mean...
