F-32

Recommended Posts

Hi everyone, I've finally managed to clean up the last of my Arizona shots from 2012 before I go onto the ones I took in California this year.

Below are various guardians and memorials I found during my trip around AZ:

Hi Paul, the Thunderbirds F-4E can be found at the American Legion, Corona de Tucson. The RF-4's are at the Veterans Memorial Park at Quartzsite and the F-100 and F-86 can be found in Glendale.

That Thunderbirds F-4 is class Tony! Great setting and mount too!

Nearest I can get to something like that are the F-105 and F-100 at RAF Croughton which I drive past occasionally! Weather is not normally so good either!

Andy I'd love to see the F-105 if you ever get a chance to take a photo of it!

Even though they are both reasonably visible from the road the US guards won't allow it even by appointment according to a friend of mine which is ironic as it can clearly be seen on Google View (albeit at a distance!).

Cheers, Tony! I'll keep an eye open when I'm in Tucson this weekend. Probably won't make it to Pima, but I'll be staying very close to the airport...

haha, yeah I did about 2600 miles in a week including a round trip to the Grand Canyon on my last day.

The rental car was a Mustang so it ate the miles :hobbyhorse:

OK, where's the Aussie flag gone in that first image of the Phantom? We did operate the F-4E, albeit on loan, while we were waiting for the delayed F-III ... :)
