Jinxman
Popped into Cosford today and got some shots of the Do17, Wellington, Hampden, and Kestrel projects, and happened across the rather nice Typhoon and some Fw190 bits as well. The Conservation Centre is open until Saturday, 10:15 until 13:00. Here are some examples..
Paul J
Nice photos. They would be good for a reccy quiz! Interesting view of the wings that belong to a P1127(?) Kestrel wearing Tripartite markings.

Max Headroom
Nice photos. I'm hoping to get there in the next week or so. From what you say the Conservation Centre will be closed to the public by then. Trevor

bentwaters81tfw
Hampden looks better. Last time I saw it, it was a twisted heap on a truck in Felixstowe docks about 22 years ago.
Max Headroom
If I remember from the time it was handed over to the RAFM, one side will be pristine and the other 'as is'. Trevor

Trevor That's better than nothing. A 'cut away' to show the public the innards. It's pretty much how they got it, half an airframe Better than the Halifax. Jockster
Is it closed to the public permanently? Mike mentioned 'again', so that gives me hope that it'll reopen!
Max Headroom
I think their opening to the public is only for a few weeks in the year. I would keep an eye on the museum's website. Trevor
Aeronut
For the past couple of years the Conservation centre is open the week following the IPMS Nationals at nearby Telford. Monday is popular with many who make a long weekend of it Telford and the Conservation centre.
