m0gb0y74
Hi, I am about to build a 1/48 Hurricane and I am going to use the Xtradecal 111 Sqn decals. The only problem is I don't know if the propeller was rotol or deHavilland. Does anybody have a clue what it was? I can't seem to find anything on the web Thanks, James :-)
Test Graham
With such a late serial, and no photograph, the Rotol would be a pretty safe bet. This aircraft went on to serve with 607 Sq, so if you did come up with a photo I'd be interested in it.
m0gb0y74
Thanks for the response. The only reference I could find was at http://www.k5083.mistral.co.uk/APS.HTM which helpfully said it was either or...
Test Graham
It may well be right, although I somewhat doubt it. The page also says the first 25 were built with fabric-covered wings, which I suspect belongs to the previous Hawker production block, for I'm pretty sure this will not have been true in July 1940.
