gmsphoto
Hi here is my latest model. its the revell sea king mk41 converted to HAR3. Great kit went together really well. all the parts are in the kit to make it a HAR3A. Used airwaves etching for aerials and bits, scratchbuilt the camera pod on the side of the fuselage. all hand painted. Masked the rear blades and the black area on the fuselage. Used the xtradecal anniversary set for the main decals and the airfix decals for the stencils sea king har3a by gmsphoto1, on Flickr sea king har3a by gmsphoto1, on Flickr sea king har3a by gmsphoto1, on Flickr sea king har3a by gmsphoto1, on Flickr sea king har3a by gmsphoto1, on Flickr sea king har3a by gmsphoto1, on Flickr sea king har3a by gmsphoto1, on Flickr sea king har3a by gmsphoto1, on Flickr sea king har3a by gmsphoto1, on Flickr sea king har3a by gmsphoto1, on Flickr sea king har3a by gmsphoto1, on Flickr Graeme Edited October 31, 2013 by gmsphoto

gmsphoto
Thanks for the comment's. Chris, all the parts are in the kit. The only thing I scratch built was the camera pod on port side. Any questions about building the model just ask. Graeme
Noisygriff
Very nice. At the risk of sounding a bit 'spotter', it's a Mk3, rather than 3A. Great finish nonetheless.

Jonners
Hi Graeme, At risk of sounding like a complete pedant, you've made a Mk3 not a 3a, as Noisygriff has said. The obvious external differences between the two variants are that the 3a has a slightly different HF aerial on the port side, different V/UHF blade aerial fit and is operated by 22 Sqn; 202 only operates the Mk3. Yellow Sea Kings also have two pairs of white 'dracula fangs' homer aerials under the chin, one longer pair (as on yours) for VHF and another shorter pair for UHF, which you could probably add without much difficulty. All that aside, good effort on the (Mk3) conversion! Jon PS Flown this one a few times in a 'previous life'!!
