Jinxman
hi colin, I wish I had more to share but this was only my third time in Mach Loop and the other two times were no-shows, cheers
tonyot
Great pics, thanks for sharing. I have happy memories of flying low level through the Welsh mountains in Herks during the 1980`s and watching sheep flash past the windows (I even sat in the cockpit jump seat once- brilliant!) although if you were back in the cargo bay and unlucky enough to be further down the fuselage away from the portholes in the forward section there was a strong tendency to get air sick as you could not see outside properly. On really bumpy flights with a full load of Para`s down the back somebody was usually sick and then it became contagious and it wasn`t such a nice experience as the smelly stuff tended to slosh around on the floor when the aircraft banked or climbed and it was very slippery when you finally stood up!! Next time you see a Herk flying by try and imagine what it is like inside! Fab pics ,....I`ve seen similar sights when up on the hills myself but never had a camera and wouldn`t have been able to take such fantastic photos anyway,........ Cheers Tony O

Jinxman
hi Tony, The Herc certainly worked hard to get through and then drop down towards the lake - it looked like lots of fun from where I was stood. Not sure I would fancy it inside with a group of poorly Paras though... cheers

Jinxman
hi SD, I was using a 500mm - tricky to pan with, but nice when it works out, cheers
