paganpete
Very nice Jessica - you did this IN BETWEEN the Walrus?!? What did you use for turnbuckles? Pete
Jessica
I used this one to recover from the trauma caused by the Walrus. The turnbuckles are made from little sections of steel hypotube I got from an ex workplace long ago and far away.
VG 33
Hi Jessica Very nice built of this tiny fighter. The upper wing whithout any roundel was just strange for me, but when looking in the Windsock about Nieuport Fighters I found the right picture of this aircraft flown by Capitaine Comte J.L.V. de Plandes Sièyes de Veynes from Escadrille N26. Thank you for sharing. Patrick Edited October 16, 2013 by VG

JOAN
Very nice build. clean and stylish. I have one to build. is there any issue with the kit ? thx olivier
Jessica
It's very straightforward build. There are few locating pins, with the exception of the wing and landing gear struts. The rudder really needs something (I drilled it and used a section of wire as a pin). The paint scheme information in my box was inaccurate so be prepared to do a little asking about and researching. I had an issue gluing the cowling on, but I think I caused it by adding the push rods to the cylinders and then not thinning the inside of the cowling enough. Viking
Hi Jessica, Very nice build, the bordering around the flying surfaces has come out really well, and the rigging looks really good- I like the turnbuckles. Its a real cutie of an aeroplane. One small observation in the spirit of being helpful (because I did this on my first build of this very kit and have seen it on others). The axle goes in the inner part of the undercarriage leg 'V', not the bottom of it, and was secured in with elastic bungee on the real thing. Like this; It affects the 'sit' of the model quite noticeably. I know because I've been there, done that! Cheers John
Jessica
That was also brought to my attention elsewhere. I intend to correct it once I get up the gumption to redo the rigging on the landing gear legs (I need to drill out the hardened superglue in order to mount them properly, then I need to figure out how to extend the axles that I cut off to make the wheels look right. Grumble.) The edge taping does look good, doesn't it?
Jessica
Landing gear corrected. Now it sits much better.
Natter
Had a quick scan over your build blog. That's really nice, and still tiny even in 48th.
