I've just received the following P.M. from a French modeller:

"Homebee, did you see in the HLJ video at 27mn/29sec what was on display on the KH stand at the All Japan Model & Hobby Show 2013?

http://www.hobbylink.tv/all-japan-model-hobby-show-reports-2013-part-2"

You're right Norbert it's a....

So after its future Kaman SH-2D Seasprite - ref.KH80122 - (http://www.britmodeller.com/forums/index.php?/topic/234943427-kaman-sh-2-seasprite-148-from-kitty-hawk/?hl=seasprite), Bell AH-1Z Viper (Super Cobra) - ref. KH80124 - and UH-1Y Venom (ou Super Huey) - ref.KH80123 - (http://www.britmodeller.com/forums/index.php?/topic/234943269-148th-bell-ah-1z-viper-and-uh-1y-venom-by-kittyhawk-in-progress/?hl=cobra), KittyHawk is working on a 1/48th Eurocopter/Harbin SA.365/Z-9 Dauphin 2/"Haitun" kits family.

Oooooooooh, now doesn't that look very tasty. I wonder what the decal options might be, there are several foreign operators, so lets see what the kit brings?

Box art from the future French boxing - ref.KH 80108.

Let's hope it's just a box art prototype as the correct designation from the heli depicted on the box is:

a French Aéronavale SA.365F-1 Dauphin 2 (n°318 from flotille 35F) and not S.a 565F...

SA for "Sud Aviation" (later AéroSpatiale, today Eurocopter) and not S.a

A US Coast Guard boxing is reported to be in the pipe line.

For my part, I've a dream: a Royal Navy FOST AS.365N-2 Dauphin 2!

Damm, another one I just got to have :D

Oh my poor wallet...

I really think Kitty Hawk should set up a subscription service.

Just send them straight to my homeaddress so I don't have to go out and buy them by my self :D

If you Google Eurocopter Sa. 565F Panther then you can see all sorts of variant in the image bank.

Hi Glen,

this looks good! However, I think there's an error in the text under the side profiles at the bottom - it says 'Mirage F.1 CR.....'. Also, the artwork on the decal sheet doesn't seem to match the profiles on the box, or have I missed something?

Looking forward to this one. Do you have a release date in mind?

Cheers,

Andrew

Ooops. Sorry Sir but you still have to change the F-1CR captions under the box side Dauphin color profiles.

Hmm and it says 'SA.365F/AS.565SA Dauphin II' but the AS565 is called 'Panther', not 'Dauphin II'. As long as the kit is nice I doubt many would care about that though.

Can a Royal Navy version be built from the box, apart from the decals? I`ve still got the MA sheet so would be good to go if the basic airframe is the same.

Cheers

Looking at the test shots Tony, I think the kit should be good to build to build an FAA machine.
