wellzy
I've recently acquired an RAF Mustang II (the old 1/72 Novo kit) and would like to join in - it will be a good impetus to find the necessary decals! Welcome to the build look forward to seeing your build Les
Bengalensis
got me Fisher 1/32 RB-51 Reno Unlimited Mustang, an sooooo excited!!!!!! :yahoo: :yahoo: been reading up on the model and trying to convince myself to drop a small bundle on one. In the end it was just too amazing and rare not to get one! Just pure resin porn!!!!  Ah, that's the right way to approach it! Will be a great build to follow. trickyrich
Ah, that's the right way to approach it! Will be a great build to follow. problem is now I might be a bit too scared to build it!! once I've got it and fondled it...... I meant looked it over then I'll make a decision whether to build it for this GB or leave it till I have more time to do it justice. Though it will be very hard to resist! I'd still like a Sea Fury to go with it!!

trickyrich
September Fury!!!! I wish, is tempting, will wait and see what the Mustang like first!! I see that there is a High Planes 1/72 version available on evilbay!! http://www.ebay.com/itm/1-72-High-Planes-Models-Red-Baron-RB-51-Mustang-Limited-245-500-RESIN-Model-Kit-/271368621900?pt=Model_Kit_US&hash=item3f2ed48f4c Knowing the High Planes models it would be some work to get it looking nice, but it is an amazing looking plane!!! Can't wait to build it!!!!!!
Caerbannog
I started a conversion of a KitTech (Hobbycraft rip off) but got stuck about two years ago - with the shorter wings. This week I redid the canopy and hope to get it finished the next months. Decals are from Red Pegasus again. I will pot it on BM then of course. wellzy
Sorry but whats this got to do with the Mustang G/B ? Les
Caerbannog
The September Fury? Nothing - completely off-topic. Thats why resisted in posting pictures of my build. It is just that Fisher does a Sea Fury and a September Fury (I think) as well and that it would be nice company for the Red Baron P-51 which Rich already bought. Rene. gingerbob
Oh dear, as a nominal co-host, should I be chastising my co-co-host for mis-leading by example? "Hell hath no Fury like a Mustang scorned." So, let's see, there's the XP-51B conversion I started planning toward for a group build among friends about three years ago now- learned a lot, but now that I've given it enough time maybe I can embark on it without remembering why I realized I wasn't ready to take it on after all. (Did anyone actually follow that? No matter!) There are Bs and Ds I've already "picked out" as build subjects, complete with decals to suit. There's a civilian warbird scheme that I've always admired, which I'm tempted to put on a 32nd Tamiya, just to give most people convulsions- but would I attempt to replicate the "modern" cockpit, or just do a "close enough" with it? I could seize the nettle and attempt one of my Modelcraft P-82s... somehow I don't know that I'm ready for that! But then again, what have I got to lose? Then there's one of the Acc Min Allison Mustangs... And if I REALLY want to challenge myself, there was that XP-51F conversion that I wanted to attempt... Boy, am I glad this build isn't starting yet! bob Edited January 11, 2014 by gingerbob
