Shar2 Posted October 9, 2013 Posted October 9, 2013 This is my Trumpeter 1/48 Westland Wyvern S.4 built for the FAA GB, but since I rarely build an aircraft I thought I'd post it here too. Nice build with few problems that weren't made by me. WIP HERE 10
jenko Posted October 9, 2013 Posted October 9, 2013 Very nice indeed. Isn't it a lot bigger than you imagine ?
Shar2 Posted October 9, 2013 Author Posted October 9, 2013 Thanks Dick. Yes it is, particularly when compared with my Seafire XVII.
Panzer Vor!!! Posted October 9, 2013 Posted October 9, 2013 Another top class build chap looks very good
snapper_city Posted October 9, 2013 Posted October 9, 2013 Nice one Dave. I never noticed what I can only presume are RATO bottles strapped underneath.
ModelMonkey Posted October 9, 2013 Posted October 9, 2013 Great job, I've got a Seafire XVII to do at some point. Heart says it should be accompanied by a Wyvern but wife/shelf space say no... :-(
Shar2 Posted October 9, 2013 Author Posted October 9, 2013 With the wings folded it doesn't take up much space. 1
bentwaters81tfw Posted October 9, 2013 Posted October 9, 2013 Excellent. I have a soft spot for the Wyvern. I have a Classic Airframes version to build. Keep wondering whether to change it for the Trumpy one
Orion Posted October 10, 2013 Posted October 10, 2013 Job well done. Interessting to see the torpedo and JATO bottles on the underside. Question: Was the torpedo an normal configuration!! Regards, Dirk The Netherlands
Shar2 Posted October 10, 2013 Author Posted October 10, 2013 I don't think the Torpedo was used, or even fitted very often, but I really liked the concept. The RATO set-up also wasn't used very often, if at all, but with the torpedo and all those rockets I feel it would have need them.
AdrianMF Posted October 13, 2013 Posted October 13, 2013 Nice one! I'm doing a Frog Wyvern on the Obsolete GB so this is a good reference! Regards, Adrian
Julien Posted October 13, 2013 Posted October 13, 2013 Dave builds a plane, shocker! Suppose its OK 1
