So we can expect 1/48th Bf.109F-2/F-4/G-2/G-4/G-6 & G-14 kits by Eduard in 2014.

Source: http://www.eduard.com/store/out/media/InfoEduard/archive/2014/info-eduard-2014-01EN.pdf

(...) Releasing new kits under the Limited Edition and Royal Class labels before the ProfiPACK editions proved itself a success this year, so this will continue. This will include the aforementioned Spitfire Mk.VIII and MiG-21PF, and also will include the Bf 109F and G. Among the priorities of our 2014 plans, the Bf 109F and G in 1/48th scale are rated highly. The first of these are planned to come out in the second quarter, and in all probability, it will be the Bf 109G-6, followed by the Bf 109F in the second half of the year. At this point I need to point out that this is not entirely certain, and it may well turn out that the kits will be released in the reverse order. At the moment, we do not expect to release the F-2 and F-4 as separate kits, as is the custom among other manufacturers, but rather a single kit covering the main F versions. On the other hand, the F-4 Trop will be released together with the G-2/G-4 in the Limited Edition Line, dedicated to the type’s use in North Africa and the Mediterranean. Attention will be paid to the Bf 109G in the Royal Class series, which will typically include two complete kits covering the G-2, G-4, G-6 and G-14 models. As one of the bonus features of the kit, a piece of metal from a G-6 of JG4, shot down on September 11th, 1944 over the Ore Mountains will be included. (...)

This weekend at the E-Days 2013 the box art picture from the Eduard's future 1/48th Messerschmitt Bf.109 G-6 kit.

Source: http://www.master194.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=3&t=78075

Release expected in February 2014.

V.P.

Not sure when the Bf109G's will be out but Info Eduard is out now (in Czech!) and February's releases are the Spitfire IXe Profipack, MiG-21PFM Weekend, and La5 Ltd Ed - all in 1/48. So the Bf109's will be out sometime after February.

thanks

Mike

The model is pantographed 1/32 kit, thus having all the inherent omissions of the former / eg. too long fuselage by 8-9mm., is wrongly riveted, has wrongly positioned service panels, slats are way, way too deep, gear struts are too long, tail wheel is too small etc...etc.../ As for reviews, majority of them dont have nor knowledge nor integrity to tell the truth about product especially when they are sponsored by manufacturers themselves,

As for burned, they blatantly lied to their distributors/retailers that it will be a totally new kit without any connection to 1/32 model.

When most big buyers/collectors saw lively arguments on Hyperscale they cancelled their orders leaving many retailers with stock they were unable to sell.

In the end they/Eduard/ got burned because it should have sold in huge numbers due to popularity of the subject as well as technological leap over competition.

I won't buy another I think it's a brilliant kit but let down but the scaling down of the 1/32 kit which meant too many small parts that could have easily been done with one part. it just made for a frustrating build and cost me my mojo for a while

I would have thought that one of the Tri Duby Slovak insurgent G-6's would be a shoe-in for Eduard? I only plan to have a couple of 109's in my collection and this one that I have wanted to model for years.

I agree it should have been a shoo-in, but perhaps it will be in the Royal version or a special edition, perhaps even with standard 13. or 14./JG 52 markings also included - we'll have to wait and see. The markings you want are on Aeromaster 48-001 if you can get hold of one - or in my case on a model built from a Hasegawa kit

Back to topic, if you are going to Milton Keynes Modelkraft on Sunday 27th April, a word from the club: "Thanks to Brno Models club we will have test shots of Eduard's new Messerschmitt Bf109G and the associated Brassin sets on display at ModelKraft next Sunday. Petr from Brno will be attempying to assemble the model during the course of the show to illustrate how good the fit is.

Also on display on the Brno stand will be a set of test shots of the new Revell 1/32 Spitfire IIa plus a production set of the kit decals.

So if you would like to see these new kits visit ModelKraft Milton Keynes next Sunday and seek out the Brno Model club stand."
