Very good solution with the landing gear legs. Hope they do the correct later style variant (not as in the 109 G kits).

Great to see first traces of slide moulding tech in Eduard kits ( wheel bay ), somehow I am more than sure they will get S-199 right.

I agree but didn’t they just Nick the idea from Tamiya who did that first with their Spit MK1? Still dead handy to get rake and reach right 👍

Avia S-199 and CS-199, please. I decree 😁 that Eduard has NOW made enough money with all those Messerschmitt 109s, Mustangs and Spitfires to afford issuing some really bad selling kits (see top of message), too.

The weekend boxing of the AS is already super affordable with 5 decal options, I'm not sure how Academy can do better, or is it just to open a road to the Asian market?

It just gives the modeller the choice of  whether they want poor quality decals or decals where you have to pull of the carrier film off and risk ripping up the decal 🤪

Has it been confirmed anywhere that this is the Eduard kit? According to Scalemates, its provenance is 'unknown'. I think that it's more likely to be a re-issue of the old Hobbycraft 1/48 Bf 109G-10 (https://www.scalemates.com/kits/hobbycraft-hc1522-bf109g-10-axis-allies--147833); Academy has re-issued several Hobbycraft kits over the years.
