RHWinter Posted December 16, 2020 Posted December 16, 2020 (edited) I will patiently wait for the long since announced Avia S-199 and never stop hoping for an Avia CS-199... Edited December 16, 2020 by RHWinter 1
ABeck Posted January 5, 2021 Posted January 5, 2021 Very good solution with the landing gear legs. Hope they do the correct later style variant (not as in the 109 G kits). 2
Thomas V. Posted January 5, 2021 Posted January 5, 2021 Great to see first traces of slide moulding tech in Eduard kits ( wheel bay ), somehow I am more than sure they will get S-199 right.

Still dead handy to get rake and reach right 👍 1

Phas3e Posted February 15, 2021 Posted February 15, 2021 4 scheme weekend kits are very welcome and not limited to one factory scheme per box 👍

RHWinter Posted April 2, 2021 Posted April 2, 2021 (edited) Avia S-199 and CS-199, please. I decree 😁 that Eduard has NOW made enough money with all those Messerschmitt 109s, Mustangs and Spitfires to afford issuing some really bad selling kits (see top of message), too. Phas3e Posted April 2, 2021 Posted April 2, 2021 The weekend boxing of the AS is already super affordable with 5 decal options, I'm not sure how Academy can do better, or is it just to open a road to the Asian market? 1

It just gives the modeller the choice of whether they want poor quality decals or decals where you have to pull of the carrier film off and risk ripping up the decal 🤪 1

Has it been confirmed anywhere that this is the Eduard kit? According to Scalemates, its provenance is 'unknown'. I think that it's more likely to be a re-issue of the old Hobbycraft 1/48 Bf 109G-10 (https://www.scalemates.com/kits/hobbycraft-hc1522-bf109g-10-axis-allies--147833); Academy has re-issued several Hobbycraft kits over the years.
