Lancaster night run in Canada

Bomber Command Museum of Canada.

On September 20th they did a four engine night run on their Lancaster.

Guaranteed goosebumps!

Quite surreal as it is next to a main road with cars & trucks going past.

If this doesn't stir you, you have no soul.

And if you've never been to East Kirkby to see 'Jane',

I can thoroughly recommend it as modelling therapy.

Now if that don't make you to put a Lanc or three on the display shelves, nothing will! Many thanks for posting this.

Btw, did you all catch the initial cost for this `vision` as it was announced after engine shutdown? Three individuals paid $513Cdn for the Lanc ... then picked up four RR Merlins for $45Cdn each. Granted, that was a `few`years ago`, but still....

Nice find ! thanks... I share with you the question of safety and those cars.

O.

Cars are fine, the engines are at ground idle. I see it run every year. A person could walk behind it although for safety it isn't done. Edited by Scooby

Thanks Guys.

Yes, I wasn't really questioning the safety aspect.

It was just, as Scooby says, It's quite normal to see this sight, for the townsfolk.

But for us, to see it, Wow!

And why aren't all those people stopping to watch?

Then again, My home town is now Lincoln.

Thousands visit the Cathedral, But I haven't.

If you live in Blackpool, Where do you go on holiday?

Weird lot aren't we?
