Madmonk
Started work on a lighting kit using the Arduino programmer that SecretReeve introduced us to. Tried to emulate a bit of engine flicker along with cockpit lights both steady & flashing and wing tip warning lights. Quick video of a test run. X Wing Flyboy
Any more work on this Vier buddy? As always, I have one in the stocks to builds and would like to light it up.
Madmonk
Had the final version on test over the weekend with no issues. Here is video of it running, taken with phone so apologies for quality. And a few photos of the build process. Need to build up a few before putting them online. Breaker
Warren, that looks awesome! The flickering engines and wing tips lights are just right, love to see it built up. Circuit seems quite large, what are the Caps for if you're using a PLC?
Madmonk
Hi Breaker, The kit is powered from a 9V battery and the Attiny85 processor works off 5V so I have a voltage regulator to give me a constant 5V rather than relying on a voltage divider. The capacitors are there just to stop any noise from the DC supply. The circuit board is 3cm x 2cm, I could have made it a bit smaller but had the room so made it as big a possible to allow space to get all the wires in. Breaker
Ah, thanks for getting back to me so quickly. That's my next puzzler, what I'm going to use for my power supply. Have you got a circuit diagram for the regulator? Cheers.
