Ray S
Hello all, I hope I can post this here, if not Moderators feel free to delete and accept my apologies. I had an e-mail newsletter from Kingkit and they have had a lot of Vacforms come into their business. There are about nine pages in their listings, many of which are excellent kits from memory, plus a few more 'nostalgic' ones. I have taken the plunge and ordered a Contrail Shorts Singapore III which should give me some scope to test my modelling skills! I cannot remember the last time I saw one of those available. It is a fabulous flying boat, and should go well with my Stranraer I hope to restart soon! I have no affiliation with Kingkit, but am a regular customer of theirs. All the best, and I hope the post is okay as I know there are some excellent vacform modellers on here, kind regards, Ray
kev67
I often see these on ebay, good luck I would never do a biplane with all that rigging, and its a vacform as well

Smudge
Cheers for the 'heads up' Ray. Bagged a couple I have been after for a while. Not visited King Kit in a while, you just never know, do you! Cheers, all the best.

Ray S
Hi all, glad I have been of some help. I got my Contrail Short Singapore III from Kingkit (it only took two days to arrive) and it has brought back memories. John at Aeroclub has also been able to supply me with some bits (props and exhausts) which will be useful. Many moons ago (1983/4 or so I suppose) I did the Contrail Supermarine(?) Scapa and had fun with that. I hope I have learnt a lot since then, and that I do not have a repeat of something that happened when I was building it. I was trying to sleep and at about 3 in the morning I had such bad pains in my hip I could not settle, so I got up and carried on with the kit! I never did know what caused the pain, being a bloke I did not go to the docs, and I am still here so it could not have been too bad. Enjoy your 'new' kits everyone.
