starfighter84
Good evening to all! I'm glad to present my last work... an F/A-18 C of VFA-87 during the Operation Iraqi Freedom. Hasegawa kit to start... I also added the following aftermarket: Aires cockpit, wheel bays and exhaust. Wolfpack Design F-18 A+ & C early update set. Legend Production fuel tanks (the Hasegawa's tanks has minor shape problems). Royale Resin wheels. Rhino Models seamless intakes. Eduard etched set. Leading Edge masking set. Afterburner decal. Hope you enjoy my Hornet. Cheers! Valerio from Rome, Italy.
Natter
That's more or less a resin kit with a few Hasegawa kits thrown in! Stunning model.

I used salt during the weathering process. Looks beautiful...can I ask where you got the ladder from? Kiwi Boy
Anyone got a bug swatter?!!!! Now thats a bug alright. Very nice indeed. Alot of work and it's pad off. How well all the resin stuff fit? Probably no need to add a nose weight I suppose? Really like the birdslicers and the IFR probe on the nose. Overall a fantastic effort. JeffreyK
Fantastic job! Looks like a flawless build, noteworthy in particular due to the multitude of aftermarket items grafted in. And the finish and weathering is pretty impressive as well! I didn't know that Rhino made intakes for the Legacy Hornets - I have a set by a company called Maestro Models, but they are only about half the required depth. Russian company XMold has the full-depth intakes, but as yet PayPal doesn't work in Russia...I'll look out for the Rhino ones now. Cheers Jeffrey
starfighter84
How well all the resin stuff fit? Probably no need to add a nose weight I suppos? The fit of WP resin nose was horrible (like all the WP resin sets). The nose was heavily undersized unfortunately. Only a positive note.... no need to add Weight!
