Monogram/Revell 1/72 B-52

Recommended Posts

A little pic of my latest project.

The Monogram/Revell 1/72 B-52D.

I will be building this one as a B-52C using a Microscale decal sheet.

Rescribing this beastie was quite challenging at times due to limited space on the workbench.

Wooo, nice. I like the B-2 nonchalantly hanging around in the back ground too...

This kit is on my hit list but the panel lines have stopped me from going ahead with a purchase. I'm glad to see you tackling it though. :)

Nice. It dwarfs that B-2 that's poking in the picture.

Respect for rescribing that lot. B)

I doubt if I'd have the willpower for all that scribing, myself.

Not often you see these kits built. Didn't realise it had raised detail. Watching with interest for my XB-52 build

Cheers guys.

A bit more done on the B- 52 today. Painted the wing walkway lines.

Nice scheme! Walkways look good. I thought it would be in the camo scheme for some reason. The overall silver looks good.

Building this one for the Cold War SIG display at SMW2013 and fancied doing it as an earlier B-52C in the original silver/anti-flash white scheme.

Nice to see a Buff on the workbench. Have you corrected the wings?

Now there's a model you don't see very often in a scheme you almost never see it in. Great choice.

Unlike the AMT/Italeri kit, the folks at Revell/Monogram got the wingdroop correct. They don't need any fixing.

Fraid not CP! It still wont sit on the outriggers as a fuelled up aircraft without surgery. Ask me how I know.

Here's one.

Excellent. Not only in a cool scheme but tooled up ready for a fight.

i think it looks great so far, Falcon!

Myself, i wouldn't worry about the wings. It would be a lot of work to fix, it might compromise the structural integrity of the wing too. Just press on with what you got!!

Thanks for posting!
