1/24 Mosquito BIV ?

Ok - everyone tells me I am usually the last to know anything but what does Ian at heritage know that I missed?

both are B IV bombers with glazed noses and rather nice schemes but are not as per the existing Airfix kit - or did I miss that too??

John, Ian had planned to do a bomber version but then Airfix released their Mossie with the bomber allegedly next on the list so it was binned and if I remember right the decals were already printed.

That makes sense

Pity he didn't given Airfix's lack of industry with a bomber. Even the model itself is not available from all good model shops anymore so a conversion set is not worthwhile proposal

I believe the run of the FB.VI finally sold out a while ago at a wholesale level, but that it didn't really show the level of demand that would make a B.IV an attractive gamble for Airfix - at the moment their reboots of new-tool 1/72 favourites appear to be going very well for them and that's probably their main focus for the immediate future, with the occasional 1/48 investment like the new Javelin.

I imagine the best bet for a new large scale mossie, is in 1:32, i think i saw somewhere HK were doing one ? after the lancaster.
