MS664
This is the Italeri Wessex that I converted to a HC2 of 72 squadron based at RAF Aldergrove around 2000. I used the A2ZEE & Heritage sets. The GPMG came from the Airfix Lynx and the paints were Tamiya. I also rebuilt the cabin seating to represent a HC2 interior. MS664
Thanks for the kind comments guys. Bruce. The AM stuff was great no major issues lots of measuring before cutting. Any mistakes were mine. Bill. The colours inspiration came from an article in Jan 13 Military illustrated Modeller where the author painted the UH5 in 72 Sqn colours. It was a mix of XF81 & XF4 mixed until it looked about right ( to my eyes) . The dark green is XF62. Hope this helps. Regards Michael

2wheels
Nice build. I'd be tempted to do a Northern Ireland Wessex in the green & grey scheme myself... that is if I had the time and space!
tonyot
That looks the bee`s knee` s,.......I`ve always liked the late 2 tone green scheme on the Wessex and you`ve pulled it off brilliantly! I`m torn between this scheme or the Cyprus based 84 Sqn overall grey for my next Wessex. Well done and all the best, Tony O
