Gary West
I recently noted a complete lack of Helicopters in my completed section,so thought it's something I should address. As a dyed in the wool "Blue" it was with great interest that fell in love with this little Lady. The kit is Italeri's 1/48 UH-1N and all the decals are scratched or borrowed from something else. Bell 212HP AH1 of the AAC A fun enjoyable build and I fully intend to add a Bell 214 HT1 (RAF) to sit beside it quite soon. heloman1
Very nice indeed Gary, One of the Italeri helo kits that is better than others!!!!! Nice scheme too, congratulations. There is a strake/strip running along the skids fore to aft, do you perhaps have a reference pic of this? Colin

Gary West
There is a strake/strip running along the skids fore to aft, do you perhaps have a reference pic of this? Thanks everyone Colin - nothing definitive, I scoured for ages looking for a real close up image, but in the end went with my best guessed interporatation. I used a length of plastic tube, sanded down so that only one side was left and then took the curve off the outside edge. I probably over scaled mine though. Natter
Super model. The 212 is much better suited to the climes of Belize than the Lynx and Gazelle the squawks used to operate out there.

Mozzy19
Don't know how this slipped under my radar. Very nice build. I've wanted to build one of these myself, I just don't know how to go about it. Seam
Gary West
I've wanted to build one of these myself, I just don't know how to go about it. Why not give it a go you might surprise yourself. As Helicopter kits go, this one is fairly basic (its mainly interior) and cheap as chips at £
