Paul J
Yes, I like Beavers and flown in a couple of floatplane ones over in Canada. 2002. Vancouver courtesy of Baxter Aviation and in 2004 at Prince Rupert courtesy of Inland Air. But seen many photos similar to these here: www.dhc-2.com Or this slightly hairier one: Current resident at Drusillas near Eastbourne.
patjb
I got to fly in the right hand seat in one of the Harbour Air Beavers a few years back, in Victoria I think. Great flight with a couple of water landings. I had flown in a British Army Beaver before that which was great fun, low level in the Sperrin mountains the pilot trying to convince me that he noticed I had pulled my feet up as we went over a couple of things like trees during the flight! dogsbody
This was taken about a mile or so from my house. Unfortunately, the municipality has recently taken over the property and will be re-developing it, so no more floatplanes. Chris
The Cameraman
Hi Guys, greatest aircraft ever built, in my humble opinion! I've had quite a few pleasant hours at the controls of them. Do you have any more to show us? Regards Reggie

dogsbody
I've got this stick-mounted Norseman. It's in front of The Alberta Aviation Museum, in Edmonton, Alberta. This one is on display inside. Chris Edited September 3, 2013 by dogsbody
Rick Brown
"Nice Beaver!" Love the Beaver, one of my dreams is to pop over to Alaska for a water hopping holiday in this and a Cub. On the Bucket list. Thanks for sharing OM. Rick.
upnorth
Here's a few pictures of a Beaver that we have living in the Czech Republic: It was built in 1966, making it a late production machine, and first operated in New Zealand before moving on to agricultural work in Kenya and then being taken into American ownership. It now has a Czech owner and has been operating as part of a vintage aircraft collection in the Czech Republic since 2010 or 2011.

But I love those rural settings with water and floatplanes resting.

The Cameraman
Too bad there isn't a really good 1/48th scale kit around. Hi Seadog, the only 1/48th option is the Hobbycraft kit. I just don't like the clear plastic that they use, so I sold mine on and have been buying up Airfix 1/72 scale Beavers eversince. OK I admit it, I'm a Beaverholic! I have about 35 Aifrix, 1 Miniwings (1/144), 2 pre production white metal kits (1/200) and the promise of a 1/350 kit from the Japanese ship Soya, when a mate can dig his kit out of the loft! As for decals, well I've got 16 aftermarket sets, and I'm always on the lookout for more! Regards Reggie
upnorth
Anybody know what the aircraft on the right is I was pondering that myself. Though it does have a bit of a Piper look to it in some spots, in other ways it looks like some sort of home built machine.
The Cameraman
A few more for you .Ian Anybody know what the aircraft on the right is Hi Ian, you don't have any more shots of the pickup truck used to move the Beavers about do you? I'm aiming to build a couple in 1/72 scale so any details that you may have would be fabulous! Regards Reggie
