cheffy 21
Hi folks. Im new to this site but have been building kits since I was a nipper , I mostly like to build modern british so the new kits from Kits from Airfix are most welcomed. My 1st Snatch is a version based on a vehicle used during OP Telic (Iraq) My 2nd is the Snatch + as used in OP Herrick (Afghanistan) My 3rd is a Snatch belonging to 321 EOD during OP Banner (NI) Hope you like them and I look forward to any feedback. SeanM
3 lovely builds. How did you do the Baracuda?
cheffy 21
Hi Sean . Thanks for the comment mate , the Baracuda was all made from tea bags ! open the tea bag at the seams ant tip the tea leaves into a container. With the tea bag empty cut it to fit the sections of the roof , once done soak it into PVA glue and water and then lay it over the roof sections. Allow it to dry for a while and then re cover with PVA glue and sprinkle the tea leaves over the panels , allow it to dry fully then paint. It doesn't come out to bad mate. Natter
I like those, and the odd left wing on the first one is a nice touch. One triv question - would the EOD truck not have red painted wings?
cheffy 21
Hi Dave. Many thanks for the comments , the EOD Rover is correct as vehicles serving across the water in NI were all green unlike EOD vehicles on the main land which had the red front wings. Here is a pic of the vehicle my kit is based on Regards Neil
